Secrets to making a good poached egg By Sean Butler Ok so I recently found out the best way to make an egg and that is poaching it obviously. It is the healthiest way to make an egg as you are using mainly water to cook it. Little did I know there are a couple of secrets to making a poached egg with just water in a saucepan. Apparently if you had a little bit of oil to the water it helps bind the egg together better. Here's what I do, fill a saucepan half full with water, bring it to a light simmer. Add the oil and maybe some vinegar to add some flavour. Break your eggs into a glass or some kind of container then take a knife and make a little whirlpool in the saucepan by moving your wrist in a circular motion. As soon as you have a good enough whirpool, pour the eggs into the middle of it and because its swirling around it keeps them together more. Then its about 2 mins until they are done.

sorry sean but the best way to MAKE an egg is to let the chicken do it, however the best way to COOK an egg is the way you have in your intel, sorry about that i could not help but post. mbreak2000
